Teaching

Teaching is an extension of my commitment to fostering growth, resilience, and cultural responsiveness in the mental health field. I approach teaching as a collaborative and dynamic process, where learners are encouraged to engage critically with concepts, apply knowledge in real-world contexts, and develop their own professional identity.

Grounded in a trauma-informed and equity-centered framework, my teaching prioritizes creating an environment of psychological safety, mutual respect, and inclusivity. I believe learning is most impactful when it honors diverse perspectives and lived experiences, challenging students to think beyond theory and into meaningful application.

Whether guiding future counselors, supervising emerging professionals, or leading community trainings, I strive to equip learners with both the competence and the confidence to serve clients with integrity, empathy, and cultural humility. My goal is to inspire not only knowledge acquisition but also a lasting commitment to ethical, compassionate, and socially responsible practice.

"There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning.."

— Jiddu Krishnamurti
