My research agenda focuses on advancing understanding and improving mental health outcomes for individuals living with chronic illness, with a particular emphasis on the lived experiences and wellness of Black women and girls. I am dedicated to exploring the intersections of trauma, identity, and health disparities to inform culturally responsive interventions and promote equitable access to quality care.
Through qualitative and mixed-methods approaches, I investigate how systemic factors, social determinants, and cultural strengths shape psychological resilience and barriers to care. Ultimately, my research aims to contribute to evidence-based practices that empower underserved populations and support holistic healing within clinical and community settings.
